This weekend we joined our church's first congregational missions outreach vision trip -- or whatever you want to call it. We travelled for 20hrs (car, ferry, car, boat, then boat, car, ferry, car) to be in the small, remote community of Esperanza for about 48hrs. Some might think that's slightly crazy. When you add the fact that we did it with a 13mth old, that may ramp up to
very crazy. But she's such a good traveller. Really! Definitely worth the effort of having her there with the way she made friends and built bridges.

I'm sure we'll end up posting more about the trip somewhere. It was a great start to what I hope will be an open-ended relationship between the Bridge and the outreach spot, and there's lots to say about it. But in the meantime, you're just going to have settle for this pic of my daughter. :-)

thanks babe! it is true; women who have lost their moms have a very deep sense of what loss is all about, and how precious and fleeting life is.
