She's very good at going to sleep, regardless of whether it's Brad or I that put her down. She's still waking up 2 or 3 times in the night, but that's ok. The BEST is when she wakes up and is so happy to see you. She's just learning to pull herself up and stand on the crib, so far she's only done it when one of us is in the room (which is NOT a bad thing). BUT those smiles from the crib are just amazing!!

Aria can sit up!!
Now, I know she's been doing that for months now, but the other day she did it by herself for the first time. She was playing on the kitchen table of some friends and I was just telling them how A. was trying to sit. She'd kind of lean on one hand and then put her other hand out to the side, as if there were some imaginary rope she could grab onto and pull herself up. Of course, she could never find that darn rope. SO she couldn't sit up. Just after I was telling that story, A. just finally figured out how to get her feet under her so that she could do it, and when she did, her face brightened, she smiled and she waved her arms in excitement. She TOTALLY knew what she'd just accomplished. Quickly after that, she got serious again, when back down onto her hands and knees, and totally concentrated on doing it again, so she'd remember how, and she DID. Again, big smiles, shiny eyes and arms flapping with joy. How fun! And how wonderful for Brad & I because now she can play on the floor and if she wants to go somewhere else, she can, and then if she wants to sit and play there, SHE CAN rather than fussing until she's sat up by one of us!!
Now the next step is standing on her own, and she's getting closer and closer, it's pretty amazing! I sometimes think if we had more space, she'd be doing all of this a lot quicker, but she's doing just great!
Speaking of just great - I spoke to Sienna, who I have always had in mind to watch A. when I go back to work, and she's willing (YAY). She's got a little boy who was born one day before Aria and they were in church together yesterday and both fell asleep.

They are both such contented kids that they kept grabbing at each other's toys & soothers, and neither complained - it was just adorable.

Aria's A Comic
Her comic abilities continue to astound. Today she was carrying a sippy cup upside down. Brad told her it was upside down and turned it around for her. She proceeded to twist her wrist into an awkward position so that the water filled cup continued to point to the floor. She's funny!
